Mariah is a second-year Ph.D. student at AAEC. Her research areas of interest include agribusiness and food and health economics. She is currently studying gender wage gaps of veterinarians. Additionally, she is researching perceptions of nutrition and its impact on produce demand.
Before joining Virginia Tech, Mariah earned a B.S. in mathematics and a BBA from Concord University. At Concord, she conducted undergraduate research in mathematics on Apollonian networks.
