Farhanaz Sharmin

Ph.D. Candidate

 

Farhanaz Sharmin is a Ph.D. student with research interests in development and a focus on addressing international development challenges with econometric methods for program and policy evaluation. Her dissertation research primarily involves impact assessment of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training programs and studying the behavioral aspects of technology adoption in decision making.

Before joining the Ph.D. program at Virginia Tech, she held multiple research associate positions in multi-disciplinary, policy-oriented research organizations in Bangladesh. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
