Zhenyu Yao

Ph.D. Student


Zhenyu Yao is interested in environmental and energy economics and is also passionate about exploring Bayesian econometrics. Before joining AAEC, Zhenyu obtained a master's degree in economics from Xiamen University and examined the spatial effects of air pollution in China. His current research includes water pollution in New England and renewable energy of public transportation in European countries. From a methodological perspective, Zhenyu is working on updating Bayesian econometrics and applying Bayesian models to different research areas. He is also keen on Geographic Information System (GIS) and part of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Education Program in Remote Sensing and would like to explore the environment using GIS and remote sensing.
