I am an applied economist working at the intersection of development and environmental economics. My research interests lie in rural finance, climate risk, and farmer and household responses to environmental and policy shocks.

One strand of my research studies agricultural credit and weather index insurance, with a focus on expanding smallholder farmers’ access to finance and improving resilience towards production risk. A second strand examines how environmental exposures, including extreme heat and air pollution, affect labor outcomes and wellbeing. My past and ongoing research spans India, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, and China.
