Eugene Kwaku

In my research, I study how government policies and other socioeconomic factors affect various aspects of local and regional food systems and their broader implications for agribusiness operations, health, and environmental sustainability.

My published work examines a range of issues, including the impact of minimum wage policies on household food insecurity, the effects of COVID-19 on meat markets and dietary supplement sales, and the emerging challenges and opportunities associated with carbon farming.

Some of my current projects include analyzing industry-level responses to farm animal welfare policies and assessing the impacts of food recalls on the retail markets.
