Lex provides technical support for developing use-value assessment estimates used in establishing real estate property taxes for land used for agricultural and horticultural crops in Virginia. His duties include using extant data in creating model farms which are used in calculating use-value estimates for Virginia counties and cities.  Also, Lex develops and provides explanation and updates to an annual procedures manual explaining the calculation of use-value taxation estimates.
