Agricultural and Applied Economics puts economic and financial theory to work to address business, financial, and social needs. The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics offers students specialized fields of study in:

Our academic programs provide the educational background to pursue a wide variety of careers, including (but not limited to) agribusiness manager, financial planner, agricultural lender, commodity trader, entrepreneur, economic development specialist, or economic analyst. Many of our students also go on to pursue advanced or professional degree. Students work closely with faculty and are afforded the opportunity to customize their academic plans to their personal and professional goals.

In addition to the formal courses, students learn a great deal about the world beyond college with great opportunities outside the classroom.
