Most undergraduate degrees take four years to complete, and most master's degrees take two years to complete. In a 4+1 program, you're on a path to complete both degrees in just five years.

Requirements

• Junior standing (entering senior year)
• 3.3 in-major / overall GPA
• Completed formal application through the VT Graduate School
  

How does it work?

• Students take graduate-level classes during their senior year
• Up to 12 credits can double for both B.S. and M.S. degrees
• Students earn a B.S. after the fourth year and an M.S. after the fifth year
• The fifth-year can be 100% online
